About This Work
Jerusalem is one of modern humanity's places of origin, and the Western Wall is one of the holiest places in Jerusalem for people of the Jewish faith. The continuous existence of this temple wall is offset against the solitude of the lone figure. Thus, humanity's essential loneliness is mitigated by his faith in a reality beyond the here and now. And with or without religion, the work is a metaphor for the mystery of time.
