About This Work

Step into Stockholm's old district, Gamla Stan, and step into the middle ages. Evocative of times past but also of Scandinavian love of colour, the shades of ochre, yellow and orange show emotion in a scene that could otherwise be devoid of deeper feeling. The light aesthetic that Scandinavian film directors have been famous for is shown here to have deep roots. The mottled reflected light only adds to the power of this very special image.
